• Concurrency Control (Redis): Implemented a temporary Seat Locking
mechanism with TTL to prevent double-booking. If checkout is abandoned, the Redis key
automatically expires, releasing the table instantly.
• Hybrid Search RAG Chatbot: Built a highly accurate, restaurant-specific
AI assistant using a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture. Fused Qdrant (Vector
DB) dense semantic search with Minisearch (BM25) sparse keyword search to provide targeted
context to the Gemini LLM.
• Background Queuing (BullMQ): Integrated BullMQ and Redis to handle
asynchronous, non-blocking tasks like dispatching confirmation emails and processing booking
expirations, ensuring API responsiveness.
• High-Performance UI: Utilized React Query for robust client-side caching
to prevent redundant network requests. Implemented Infinite Scroll pagination to seamlessly
fetch data in chunks, reducing initial load times.
• State Management: Architected complex global states (auth, cart data)
using Redux Toolkit, and maintained a responsive, constraint-based UI with Tailwind CSS.
• Containerized Deployment: Containerized the application with Docker for
consistency. Deployed onto an AWS EC2 instance using Nginx as a reverse proxy for traffic
routing and SSL termination.
